Steve McLaren

STEVEN MCLAREN, 68, died Thursday, April 10, 2025, at his home. Graveside services will be 11:00 a.m. Monday, April 14, 2025, at Mount Hope Cemetery

Born February 7, 1957 in Anson, Steve was a son of the late Larry and Nina (Coker) McLaren, Sr. He graduated from Anson High School in 1975 and married Tammy Wade February 6, 1976. Steve was a lifetime farmer and ended his custom harvesting in 2020. He also worked for the United States Postal Service as a mail carrier for 35 years. Steve was a member of the Anson Church of Christ.

Survivors include his wife, Tammy McLaren of Anson; a daughter, Jessica Elkins (and husband, Brandon) of Anson; a son, Cory McLaren (and husband, Adam Mahoney) of Fairfield, CA; two brothers, Larry McLaren (and wife, Pat) and Bob McLaren (and wife, Jeanie), all of Anson; and one grandson, Brayden Elkins.
