Gregory Covert

GREGORY COVERT, 76, died Monday, March 31, 2025, in Anson. Graveside services will be 11:00 a.m,. Monday, April 7, 2025, at Texas State Veterans Cemetery.

Born April 10, 1948 in Merced, California, Gregory was a son of the late George Cyrill and Ora Fay (Franks) Covert. He was a United States Army veteran of the Vietnam War. Gregory was a cook and was a manager for Popeye’s for many years. He moved to Jones county in 2021 and married Ada Wills Zilio.

Survivors include his wife, Ada Covert; step children, Letitia Smith, Pamela Eddleman and Richard Wills; a brother, Norman Covert; a sister, Suzanne Howard; eight grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
